TUSHAR LAKESIDE CAMPGROUND Campground

Located within the majestic Tushar Mountain Range, Tushar Lakeside Campground is nestled in a forest of aspen and mixed conifer. This is a popular destination for large youth groups. The lake and small meadow offer ample recreation opportunities to visitors.

Facilities
The campground contains six group sites: three can accommodate up to 30 people each, the other three up to 20 people each. A group day-use picnic site for up to 100 people is located on-site. Several single-family sites are available as well. Most sites have lake views.Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads and parking spurs are paved. The lake is just a short walk below the site and across the road.
Three resorts are located in the Fish Lake Basin, offering camping and fishing supplies, RV parks with hookups, cabin and boat rentals, marinas, gas, restaurants, groceries, laundry facilities and showers. The resorts are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Doctor Creek sits at at an elevation of 9,000 feet on the southern tip of Fish Lake on Mallard Bay. A series of ponds, known as Coots Slough, dot the area just south of the campground. Boating, swimming and scuba diving are popular activities on the lake. Boat ramps, rentals, a marina, fuel, groceries, restaurants and fishing and camping supplies can all be found at Fish Lake.The Mytoge Mountain Trail, a 25-mile hiking/biking loop, offers everything from easy cruising to challenging singletrack in the mountains around Fish Lake.
KENTS LAKE CAMPGROUND Campground

Kents Lake Campground has 28 single family campsites and two multiple family campsites. It is situated in a beautiful forested setting at an elevation of 8,800 feet.The campground is located adjacent to Kents Lake, which is approximately 50 acres in size and suitable for small fishing boats and canoes. Kents Lake is stocked with a variety of trout, all catchable from shore or boat.
Recreation
Anglers can fish for brown, brook and rainbow trout in Kents Lake from the shore or small non-motorized boat.Trailheads to the Piute ATV trail are close by, but there is no direct access from the campground.
Facilities
Kents Lake Campground has 28 single family campsites and 2 multiple family campsites. Sites vary from back-in to pull-through sites and will accomodate trailers from 24 to 60 feet long. All units have grills and/or fire rings and picnic tables. Drinking water is available throughout the campground. There are two vault toilets in the campground.There are no hook ups available. The nearest dump station is located in Beaver.
Natural Features
The Fishlake National Forest in central Utah features majestic stands of aspen encircling open mountain meadows that are lush with a diverse community of forbs and grasses. Elk, deer, black bear, cougar and moose can be found on the Forest, as well as wild turkey and mountain goats.The campground is mainly in an aspen stand with a mix of conifers. The trees provide a range of shade depending on location. Some areas are lighter or heavier shade, depending on site. The majority are well-shaded.
GOOSEBERRY ADMIN SITE CABINS Campground

Gooseberry Administrative Site Cabins are located just 18 miles from Salina, Utah. These historic structures were used as Forest Service summer headquarters from 1907 to 1960. Today, the site is used for family reunions, group events, scout and church groups and youth camps.Recreation
Popular activities in the area include off-road vehicle riding, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding and wildlife watching. The Great Western Trail runs nearby; two trailheads can be easily accessed near the site.Facilities
This unique facility contains three bunk cabins, one with propane heating, a recreation hall, kitchen and bathhouse. The rec hall has a fireplace, tables and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a large propane cooking range and oven, three small propane refrigerators, three sinks, a prep and serving area, hot water and two outdoor grills. The bathhouse has flush toilets, sinks and hot showers.Fifty single beds with mattresses are provided. Guests must bring their own linens or bedding, as well as dishes, utensils and cookware. A propane generator is available for electricity and lights for a couple of hours in the morning and evening. Several picnic tables and a campfire ring are located outside.
Guests are required to keep the facility clean during their stay. Maid service is not available. A volunteer host is on-site. Check-out time is by 11 a.m. and check-in time is after 2 p.m.

The campground offers 1 group site which can accommodate 48 guests and up to 15 vehicles. 9 individual sites are also available. These sites can accommodate 6 to 8 guests and 2 vehicles. All of the individual sites are suitable for camp trailers and although no designated tent pads are at the sites they are suitable for tent camping.Flush and vault toilets are provided, as is drinking water. A large amphitheater and picnic shelter / pavilion are located on-site. Roads and parking spurs are gravel.

Ponderosa Picnic Area is located along the Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway. It is next to the Beaver River, at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Visitors enjoy fishing and relaxing along the river.Recreation
The Beaver River offers great rainbow and brook trout fishing. Hiking and biking trails begin a short drive east. Horseshoe pits and a volleyball court are available, but picnickers must bring their own equipment (horseshoes, net and a ball).Facilities
The picnic area is a day-use site for large groups, making it a perfect place for family reunions and church outings. Site 1, called East, can accommodate up to 120 people, while site 2, called West, can accommodate up to 80 people. Reservations can be made for either individual sites or the whole area at once.Each site contains tables, grills, campfire circles, electric lights and asphalt site pads. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. An amphitheater with bench seating is also located on-site.

Aquarius Ranger Station is located about 15 miles south of Loa, in eastern Utah. It sits on the west side of beautiful Boulder Mountain, which makes up half of the expansive Aquarius Plateau. The station was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1937 and was used by generations of Forest Service employees working in the surrounding back country.Recreational activities abound in the surrounding area. Guests enjoy fishing in many lakes on Boulder Top, and exploring local trails.
Recreation
Pine Creek Reservoir is less than a mile from the ranger station. This small lake covers three acres, and offers fishing for brook trout. Cook Lake, Miller Lake and numerous additional fishing lakes are scattered across Boulder Top.Many hiking, biking and off-road vehicle trails meander through the surrounding area. The Great Western Trail spans nearly 4,500 miles through five states, and runs alongside the station. Hikers, horseback riders, mountain bikers and off-road enthusiasts love this spectacular trail.
Big game hunting for black bear, mule deer, elk, grouse and antelope is also a popular activity.
Facilities
The Aquarius Ranger Station Complex can accommodate a maximum of 20 people, with four inside and 16 camped outside in tents or RVs. The rustic two-room cabin sleeps four people comfortably on one double bed and one set of bunk beds. No linens or bedding are provided. Two or three RVs and several tents are allowed outside.
The cabin is equipped with a table and chairs, a wood stove and propane appliances including a cook stove and oven, and hot water heater. Some pots and pans, dishes and utensils are provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own.
A vault toilet is located adjacent to the cabin, as is a campfire circle and several picnic tables. Potable water is available inside the cabin and at a hydrant outside. Solar lighting is available inside the cabin.

Natural Features
The ranger station is situated at the edge of a meadow lined with aspens and mixed conifers, at an elevation of 8,700 feet. Grasses, sagebrush and summer wildflowers fill the meadow. From the front porch, guests are awarded scenic views of surrounding area. Summer days are warm and nights are cool.Boulder Mountain rises to an elevation of 11,317 feet. Capitol Reef National Park lies on its eastern edge. Boulder is comprised of over 50,000 acres of rolling pine, spruce and aspen forests on its slopes and broad, lake-studded meadows on its top.
MAHOGANY COVE CAMPGROUND Campground

Mahogany Cove Campground is located in a grassy meadow along the Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway just 12 miles from Beaver, Utah, at an elevation of 7,200 feet. Visitors enjoy hiking, mountain biking and fishing in the nearby Beaver River.Recreation
Fishing for rainbow and brook trout is popular on the Beaver River, which is just a short drive below the campground. Hiking, mountain biking and hunting are popular activities in the area.Facilities
The campground consists of one group site made up of seven individual sites that can accommodate a total of 150 people and 20 vehicles. Reservations are posted at the campground in advance. If the entire site is not reserved, the individual sites can be used on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first site has several picnic tables, a large grill and campfire circle. The other six sites each contain one picnic table, fire ring and grill. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads and parking spurs are gravel. A large play field is located just inside the entrance.
Natural Features
Stands of mahogany, pinion, juniper and ponderosa pine trees provide partial shade. The campground offers pretty views of the Tushar Range. An overlook just outside the campground has views of Beaver Canyon.Nearby Attractions

Anderson Meadow Campground has eight single family campsites and two multiple family campsites. Sites are back-in only and will accommodate 24 to 40 feet long trailers. All units have prep tables, campfire rings and picnic tables. Drinking water is available throughout the campground. There are two vault toilets in the campground. Camping limit is 14 days.No hook-ups or dump station are available. The nearest dump station is located in Beaver, Utah.

LeBaron Campground is located in the Fishlake National Forest at an elevation of 9,900 feet. This beautiful high mountain retreat in Utah offers excellent fishing in LeBaron Lake and outstanding scenery.Recreation
Anglers will enjoy fishing for brook and rainbow trout in LeBaron Lake from the shore or small non-motorized boat. The LeBaron ATV Trail is just west of LeBaron Campground on Forest Road #147 and is a jumping off point to numerous loop trails and ATV Forest Roads, including the Piute ATV trail.Facilities
The campground has 11 single units and one group unit. All sites are back-in and will accommodate trailers from 12 to 45 feet long. Each campsite has a table and campfire ring. One vault toilet serves the campground. Drinking water is not available. There is a camping limit of 14 consecutive days.A designated ATV parking area is located to the west side of the campground to access available ATV trails.

LITTLE COTTONWOOD CAMPGROUND Campground

The Little Cottonwood Campground is conveniently located off Utah's I-15, adjacent to the Beaver River just outside of the community of Beaver in the Fishlake National Forest. At 6,500 feet in elevation, this is a great place to enjoy the mountains where recreation opportunities include stream fishing, hiking, and hunting.Recreation
Enjoy fishing in the Beaver River; an accessible fishing path is located within the campground. The Piute ATV Trail is nearby; however there is no access directly from the campground. Be prepared to trailer ATVs to the nearby trailheads for access.Nearby Cottonwood Trail is a horse and foot trail that is accessed through the lower part of Cottonwood Campground. This rugged trail will lead southwest for about the first two miles and then takes a sharp turn to the east through Horse Flat.
Facilities
The campground has fourteen single-family campsites, two of which are accessible units available for reservation. All campsites are paved and have picnic tables and grills. An accessible restroom with flush toilets serves the campground. Potable water is available during the summer season. RVs up to 40 feet in length can be accommodated; no hook-ups are available.Natural Features

Beaver Ranger District Facility
The Beaver Ranger District covers the southwest portion of the Forest and offers a wide variety of recreational experiences. Camping, picnicking, ATV riding, hiking, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and sight seeing are some of the highlights. Natural highlights include the Tushar Mountains, with a number of peaks over 10,000 ft above sea level.
Fillmore Ranger District Facility
The Fillmore Ranger District encompasses the north west portion of the Forest. The Pahvant Range dominates the east side of the district, with the Canyon Mountains to the east of Interstate 15.
Visitors will enjoy ATV riding, camping, hiking, picnicking, hunting, fishing and sight seeing.
Fremont River Ranger District Facility
Fish Lake is the big draw on the Fremont River Ranger District, offering anglers a chance to catch MacKinaw, splake, rainbow and yellow perch. With three resorts, cabin rentals, and campgrounds, visitors can plan to stay awhile.
Other recreation opportunities include picnicking, hiking, ATV riding, horseback riding, and sightseeing.
The Fremont River Ranger District also administers the Boulder Mountain area and is the gateway to Capital Reef National Park.
Richfield Ranger District Facility
On the north east corner of the Forest, the Richfield Ranger District offers visitors a variety or recreational experiences. Camping, picnicking, hiking, ATV riding, hunting, fishing, and sightseeing draw people from near and far.
BIG LAKE/ANNABELLA TRAILHEAD Facility

GOOSEBERRY I-70 TRAILHEAD Facility
Camping Area and Trailhead. There are 6 campsites with tables and a vault toilet. No water available.
JOHNSON RESERVOIR REC SITE Facility
Boating and fishing, with a day use area. Access to lake shore is good.
LITTLE RESERVOIR CAMPGROUND Campground
List of CampsitesLittle Reservoir is within sight of the campsites or a short walk. Good hunting, fishing, biking and spectacular mountain scenery is available. Winter activities in the area include ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing. Bird watching is also very popular. Overstory vegetation consisting mainly of ponderosa pine with pinion, juniper and scrub oak provides shade for about half of the area. There are eight single-family campsites. Sites are back-in sites and will accommodate RV's from 22 to 40 feet. All units have grills and/or fire rings and tables. Drinking water is available at three locations throughout the campground. There are three vault toilets including one that is barrier free. Campsite #4 is handicap accessibile. A paved trail leads to the reservoir for fishing.
