Lamoille Canyon Road
The Ruby Mountains are Nevada's wettest, and therefore most verdant mountain range. Follow this winding road around the base of 11,249-foot Ruby Dome, up glacially-formed Lamoille Canyon.

Navigating the Byway:
Follow Nevada Highway 227 south-east from Elko toward Lamoille. Before Lamoille, turn right onto the Lamoille Canyon Road. This is the byway, which proceeds southeast into the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and ends at the aptly named Road's End Picnic Area near the Ruby Mountain Scenic Area.
