Designated as a National Natural Landmark, a National Wild and Scenic River, and a National Geological Area, the landscape of this part of Kentucky offers scenic, natural, and recreation experiences.

Getting to the Byway:

Lexington, KY
* Take I-64 east to Winchester. * Get on Bert T. Combs Mountain Pky and go southeast to KY-15 in Stanton where the byway begins.

Navigating the Byway:
The Red River Gorge Scenic Byway follows KY11, KY715, and KY15 from Stanton to Zachariah. * From the west, follow KY15 southerly to the intersection of KY15 and KY77. * Turn left and go northerly on KY77 to the intersection with KY715. * Follow KY715 southerly to KY15 in Pine Ridge. * Turn right and follow KY15 to the intersection with KY11. * Turn left and follow K11 to its end at the Wolfe County line in Zachariah.
