Seminoe to Alcova Scenic Backway
The 64-mile Seminoe-Alcova Back Country Byway lies in South Central Wyoming. As you drive along it, you'll pass antelope-grazed prairie, stark desert, and you'll climb over the rugged Seminoe Mountains. You'll encounter additional attractions along the way including the Alcova Reservior, popular for fishing and boating; Pathfinder Reservior, a favorite of windsurfers; Fremont Canyon, known for fishing and rock climbing; Seminoe Reservior; the Seminoe and Pedro Mountains;and Seminoe State Park. Although the road is in a remote area, the amazing landscape transformations are worth your back-country journey.

Navigating the Byway:
Enter the byway's north end in Alcova, WY, a small settlement on WY 220 about 30 miles southwest of Casper. From Alcova, travel south over Carbon County Roads 351 and 291 and Natronia County Road 407. Continue south until you reach Sinclair, just a few miles east of Rawlins along I-80, where the byway ends.
