Deer Creek Wilderness Study Area

In Idaho, BLM manages over 7,000 acres of public lands in the Deer Creek Wilderness Study Area. This WSA is southwest of Davis Mountain, one of the highest points in the Bennett Hills, dominated by steep hills and rhyolite and basalt outcrops. The higher elevations have aspen, tobacco brush, Indian paintbrush and lupine. Elk, deer, bear, coyotes, birds of prey and upland game birds can be seen here. Visitors here can enjoy hiking, nature study, photography and hunting.
