East Fork Recreation Site
Nestled between the main Salmon River and the mouth of the East Fork of the Salmon River, the East Fork Recreation Site encompasses a 20-mile segment of the East Fork Salmon River. The site is popular during the summer months and offers fishing, hunting, camping, nature viewing and hiking along four nearby trailheads (Sheep Creek, Jimmy Smith Lake Trailhead, Herd Creek and Little Boulder Creek Trailhead). Amenities include 8 RV and 3 tent sites, vault toilets and potable water. This site has limited cell service.

Approximately 19 miles southwest of Challis, Idaho and 4 miles north of Clayton, Idaho. Travel south from Challis on Highway 93 for 2 miles, turn right on Highway 75 and drive southwest approximately 17 miles. The site will be on your right at the confluence of the East Fork and main Salmon Rivers.
