Pat's Bluff Campground

Overview

Pat’s Bluff is a 15 site campground located on the southern shoreline of Sardis Lake. Conveniently located near I-55, Sardis Lake consistently ranks as one of the top crappie fishing location in the country. The 32,000 reservoir is also a great fishery for bass and catfish and offers many other outdoor activities as well. 

Recreation

Sardis Lake offers an array of recreational activities, including fishing, boating, water skiing, hiking, camping, picnicking and many others. Pat’s Bluff Recreation Area includes a boat ramp, picnic shelter, and campground available to visitors. 

Facilities

Pat’s Bluff has 15 campsites with water and electric hookups. Flush toilets, showers, and a dump station are available in the campground.  The area also offers a group picnic shelter and a boat ramp. 

Natural Features

 Sardis Lake’s total area covers 98,000 acres in the rolling hills of North Mississippi. As part of Sardis Lake, Pat’s Bluff is appropriately named because of the sandstone bluff that prominent on the shoreline of Sardis Lake. The Pat’s Bluff Recreation Area is covered in a mixture of hardwood and pine forests that open up for great views of Sardis Lake. 

Nearby Attractions

Pat’s Bluff campground is located off of MS Highway 278. It is a 20 minute drive to the university town of Oxford, MS (Home of Ole Miss) and a 10 minute drive to Batesville, MS. The towns of Sardis and Como are also nearby. 


Oak Grove (MS) Campground

Overview

Welcome to Sardis Lake! Oak Grove Campground is the largest campground on the lake and offers convenient access to the most popular recreation spots on the upper and lower lakes!

Recreation

Oak Grove is situated in the heart of the most popular recreation areas at Sardis Lake. The lower lake recreation areas provide picnicking, swim beaches, basketball and volleyball courts, hiking, and nearby boat access to both the upper and lower lakes. Sardis Lake is a nationally recognized crappie fishery, and is popular for boating, sailing, and many other water sports. 

Facilities

Oak Grove offers 81 campsites with 50 amp electric and water hookups. There are a few sites in the campground with sewer hookups, please check site descriptions to find these sites. There are three restroom/shower buildings located in the campground as well as a playground and a boat dock with convenient access to the lower lake. 

Natural Features

 As you look out from the top of Sardis Dam you can view miles of water surrounded by beautiful forests. Sardis Lake’s total area covers 98,000 acres of land and water in the rolling hills of North Mississippi. The dam was finished in 1940 as part of a comprehensive flood control plan and controls the waters of the Little Tallahatchie River. The lower lake was created by excavating soil for the creation of the nearly 3-mile long Sardis Dam.

Oak Grove is located approximately 10 miles from I-55 and the towns of Sardis and Batesville. Oxford and the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) are a 30 minute drive. 


Hurricane Landing Campground

Overview

Hurricane Landing Campground is located near the eastern end of Sardis Lake's southern shoreline. The campground offers access to some of the best fishing on Sardis Lake. 

Recreation

Outdoor opportunities abound at Sardis Lake. Sardis is consistently ranked as one of the top crappie fishing locations in the country and is also popular for catfish and bass. Hunters will find deer, turkey, squirrel, waterfowl, and rabbit are plentiful in hunting areas around the lake. 

Facilities

Hurricane Landing campground offers 15 campsites for reservations. Each campsite has 50 amp electrical hookups and water hookups on each site. There is a flush restroom and shower building in the campground. The area also has a picnic shelter, playground, and a very popular boat launch with access to Sardis Lake.

Sardis Lake contains over 98,000 acres of land and water in Panola, Lafayette, and Marshall counties in the rolling hills of north Mississippi. Hurricane Landing Campground is surrounded by beautiful Osage Orange (Bodock) trees that add a unique character to this special place.

The city of Oxford, Mississippi and the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) are a twenty minute drive away, as is the historic town of Holly Springs and I-22. 


Big Acres Campground

Overview

Big Acres is a popular day use area at Sardis Lake. Located at Sardis Dam, Big Acres is conveniently located near other day use and camping facilities at Sardis Lake.

Recreation

Big Acres is a popular spot for picnicking. The large playground in the area and the basketball courts also draw visitors.

Big Acres has two large group picnic shelters. There is a large playground and a basketball court in the area.

Natural Features

Big Acres is located on the shore of the "Lower Lake" at Sardis. The Lower Lake is a 400 acre lake on the downstream side of Sardis Dam.

Cypress Point Campground

Cypress Point is a popular day use area at Sardis Lake. Located at Sardis Dam, Cypress Point is conveniently located near other day use and camping facilities at Sardis Lake.

Recreation

Cypress Point offers a reservable group picnic shelter, 24 individual picnic sites, a small playground, a basketball court and a swim beach.

Cypress Point is located on the shore of the "Lower Lake" at Sardis. The Lower Lake is a 400 acre lake on the downstream side of Sardis Dam.

Engineer Point Campground

Engineer Point is a popular day use area on beautiful Sardis Lake. The area provides boat access to the lake and picnic areas.

Engineer Point is the perfect spot to launch your boat or have a picnic by the water.

Engineer Point has two boat launching ramps. There is a group picnic shelter in the area and 46 individual picnic sites.

Paradise Point has a lot to offer visitors. The area has lots of picnic spots available, a large swim beach, a basketball court and a volleyball court. There is also a playground for our younger visitors.

Paradise Point has two group picnic shelters available for reservation. There are 28 individual picnic sites, a basketball court, volleyball court, playground and swim beach in the area. 

Natural Features

Paradise Point is situated along the shoreline of the 400-acre "Lower Lake" below Sardis Dam. The area provide great views of the lake.

Outlet Channel (Sardis) Campground

The Outlet Channel/Riverview area offers beautiful views of the 400-acre "Lower Lake" below Sardis Dam. The area is great for picnicking and offers some of the best bank fishing at Sardis Lake.

Aside from offering some of the best bank fishing at Sardis Lake the area also has a group picnic shelter and individual picnic sites. 

Facilities

There is one group picnic shelter in the area. The group shelter is reservable. Outlet Channel/Riverview also has over 30 individual picnic sites and a small basketball court. The area is also adjacent to a swim beach.

Clear Creek Day Use Area (MS) Campground

Clear Creek is nestled in the forests surrounding Sardis Lake. It is conveniently located within 15 minutes of Oxford, MS. Clear Creek offers access to camping, mountain biking, boating, and picnicking at Sardis Lake. 

Recreation

Sardis Lake offers an array of recreational activities, including fishing, boating, water skiing and swimming. Clear Creek offers opportunities for camping, hunting, picnicking, boating, fishing, and mountain biking.

Facilities

Clear Creek has multiple picnic sites, two group picnic shelters, a boat launch, a 13-mile mountain bike trail, and a campground with 19 resrevable sites.

Sardis Lake covers over 98,000 acres in the rolling hills of northwest Mississippi. The man-made lake sits on the Tallahatchie River at an approximate elevation of 400 feet. Clear Creek is forested with pine and hardwood forests.

Nearby Attractions

Clear Creek is approximately 15 minutes driving distance to Oxford, MS. The bustling college town is home to the University of Mississippi and offers multiple unique dining and shopping opportunities.

Clear Creek Campground offers 19 open sites with electric and water hookups. Flush toilets, showers and drinking water are provided.

Sardis Lake covers over 98,000 acres in the rolling hills of northwest Mississippi. The man-made lake sits on the Tallahatchie River at an approximate elevation of 400 feet. The campground is forested with bottomland hardwoods.

Nearby Attractions

The John W. Kyle State Park, across the lake from Clear Creek, offers a swimming pool, golf course and recreation hall. Just east of Sardis Lake is Holly Springs National Forest, where wildlife viewing is a popular activity.
