Boulder Lake Recreation Area

The Boulder Lake Recreation Area at 7,300 feet encompasses approximately 3 miles of shoreline at Boulder Lake and the surrounding area. Established site are located at the west end of the lake on the north and south sides of the dam. The North Boulder Lake campground is located on the north side of Boulder Lake. The developed boat launch area is located 2.2 miles beyond the Stokes Crossing turn-off on the south side of Boulder Lake. Uses include camping, fishing, boating, picnicking, swimming, hunting and wildlife viewing.

The North Boulder Lake Campground is located approximately 11 miles south of Pinedale on US 191, then 7 miles north on Burnt Lake Road.The Boulder Lake boat ramp (south) is located 12 miles south of Pinedale on US 191, then 2 miles east on WY 353 and 10 miles north on gravel road to Boulder Lake.Stokes Crossing is 12 miles south of Pinedale on US 191, then 2 miles east on WY 353 and 7 miles north on gravel road to Boulder Lake. Look for a sign on your left for Stokes Crossing. There is no dam crossing at the southwest end of the lake.

Stokes Crossing Facility

Stokes Crossing Campground is located along Boulder Creek within the Boulder Lake Special Recreation Management Area. The campground has two sites and has one vault toilet, two picnic tables, and two fire rings.


North Boulder Lake Campgrounds Campground
List of Campsites

The North Boulder Lake Campground is located on the northwest end of Boulder Lake. The campground has five sites with one double vault toilet, five fire rings, and five picnic tables.


Boulder Lake Boat Ramp Facility

The Boulder Lake Boat Ramp is c co-managed boat ramp on Boulder Lake managed by the BLM and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. The site has a vault toilet, a pull-through parking area, and a concrete boat ramp with dock. There is no camping allowed at this site.
