Dworshak Reservoir
Dworshak Reservoir, found in central Idaho along the North Fork of the Clearwater River, is located in scenic forested and mountainous country. Popular activities include swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, water-skiing, camping, hiking and lots more. At a height of 717 feet, the dam is the highest straight-axis gravity dam in North America, as well as one of the most dramatic in appearance. The Dworshak National Fish Hatchery is the largest steelhead trout hatchery in the world. Lewis and Clark camped in the area, where they rested from their trip over the Bitterroot Range and built canoes for their trip on to the Pacific Ocean.

Important Information
Boat in is possible for this site, but you would need to dock your boat on the north end of Leigh Lake and walk three quarters of a mile to the campsite. Most visitors hike in the 4 miles from Leigh Lake Trailhead. Has a bear box which can accommodate one typically sized cooler. Do not bring more food than can fit in the bear box. This site has a fire grate which allows campfires unless restricted under high fire danger.

Located in northern Idaho's beautiful Clearwater Valley, Dent acres Campground on Dworshak Lake is surrounded by forests and abundant wildlife. Dworshak Lake is 54 miles long, hosts kokanee salmon, rainbow trout and small mouth bass fishing. It has excellent boating, water skiing and hunting opportunities.Recreation
Dent Acres is an excellent location for boaters, fishermen, hunters, hikers, wildlife watching, as well as quiet relaxation. There is a boat ramp for access to the reservoir, multiple trails for hiking, and thousands of surrounding acres of public lands for the hunter.Facilities
Dent Acres features 49 pull through camping sites and one back-in only site. The campground can accommodate everything from tent camping to large RVs. All sites have water and 50 amp electricity hookups as well as sewage hookups, a fire pit and a covered picnic table. The campground offers flush toilets and shower rooms. Adjacent to the campground is a playground and plenty of open space for activities. There are also flush toilet restrooms and a fish cleaning station located near the boat ramp. There are several large trash dumpsters throughout the park. There is a large open shelter which can accomodate up to 75 people.Natural Features
