The landscape is characteristic of wide-open vistas with steep canyon walls and few trees. The climate is arid. Popular activities include fish viewing, boating, camping, swimming, water-skiing, hunting and fishing. Recreation facilities include picnic areas and semi-primitive campgrounds.
