The Tenn-Tom Waterway is an outdoor enthusiasts' paradise. From picnicking to fishing to camping, the Tenn-Tom has it all. The river section of the waterway stretches from Demopolis, Alabama north to Amory, Mississippi and encompasses 149 miles and four locks and dams. The Canal Section of the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway stretches North from Amory, Mississippi to Jamie L. Whitten Lock and Dam near Dennis, Mississippi. Forty-six miles in length, it has a total of five locks and dams. The Divide Section of the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway begins at Jamie L. Whitten Lock and Dam and runs North for 39 miles to Yellow Creek on Pickwick Lake near the Tennessee border.

Leave Hwy 395 approx. 7 miles North of Lee Vining. Turn West on Lundy Canyon Rd, trailhead begins 2 miles beyond Lundy Lake Resort.

Lundy Canyon trail is non quota:
You do not need a reservation for trips starting at Lundy or Lakes Canyon. Contact Inyo National Forest for information about walk in permits for non quota trails.
- Food and refuse must be stored so that animals cannot get into the food or trash.
- Guiding in Hoover wilderness is by Yosemite Mountaineering School.
- This area is near Bighorn Sheep habitat. Use of pack goats is not advised in order to protect the health of the wild sheep.
- Hoover Wilderness regulations apply.
- Deadline: Reservation will be canceled unless the permit pick up instructions are completed before the deadline. Instructions are in the confirmation letter.
- Only the group leader or alternate leader may pick up the permit; the person picking up the permit must be going on the wilderness trip.
- BE SURE YOUR DATES AND TRAIL ARE CORRECT The entire group must start on the trail on the entry date listed. Reservations cannot be changed or transferred

Long Description
A steep climb past several cascading waterfalls leads to Lake Helen on the Lundy Canyon Trail. After Lake Helen more moderate terrain is found in the Twenty Lakes Basin. Trails circle toward Saddlebag Lake and to the foot of North Peak and Mount Conness on the Yosemite National Park boundary.

Blue Bluff Campground and Recreation Area, on the Aberdeen Lake section of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in Mississippi, is one of the most scenic recreation areas on the waterway.The area is located just north of Aberdeen and boasts both a campground and day-use area. Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts visit the area each year for picnicking, fishing and swimming.
Recreation
Families can swim at the facility's beach, play on the multi-use court and walk along the wooded waterfront.Anglers can try their luck on the accessible fishing dock or go off-shore in search of bass, walleye, crappie, catfish and sunfish.
Additionally, hunters can seek out a diverse range of high quality habitats for upland game and waterfowl species at designated hunting areas along the waterway.

The campground offers 92 campsites with electric and water hookups, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, pedestal grills and lantern posts, making it perfect for parties and family functions.The facility is mostly shaded and has many scenic views of the waterway. Picnic areas and a beach are nearby.

Blue Bluff is named for the beautiful clay and limestone cliffs that border the park on the eastern side. The bluff rises 80 feet above the water and provides a lofty view of Aberdeen Lake and the nearby lock and dam.The waterway extends 234 miles from the Tennessee River to the junction of the Tombigbee River in Alabama and connects the nation's midsection of commercial water transportation with the Gulf of Mexico.
Nearby Attractions
A tour can be schedule at the Aberdeen Lock and Dam next door, which provides an opportunity to watch barges and other recreational boats go through the lock on the waterway. The town of Aberdeen, just from minutes from the campground, has various amenities, tours and events.Tupelo, Mississippi, known as the birthplace of Elvis Presley, is a 45-minute drive north.
DEWAYNE HAYES Campground

Dewayne Hayes Campground is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, on Columbus Lake in Mississippi.The campground provides convenient access to the waterway. There is ample opportunity for visitors to fish, boat or spend the day sightseeing along the banks of the river.
The recreation area was named in 1986 for Pfc. Loyd DeWayne Hayes, a member of the 145th Engineering Battalion of the Alabama National Guard.

With playgrounds, hiking trails, multi-use courts, picnic areas and educational programs, families have no shortage of activities to choose from at DeWayne Hayes.Anglers can fish from the shore in search of bass, walleye, crappie, catfish and sunfish.
Additionally, hunters can seek out a diverse range of high quality habitats for upland game and waterfowl species along the Tenn-Tom lands.

Dewayne Hayes Campground features 110 campsites, including 100 standard sites with electric and water hookups and 10 tent-only primitive walk-in sites.The campground is partially shaded, and sites have picnic tables, fire rings with grills, pedestal grills and lantern posts.
Visitors have the convenience of hot showers and laundry facilities, and anglers can make use of the fish cleaning station.

Visitors enjoy hunting, fishing, picnicking, water sports and watching the barges go by on the waterway.

This facility offers 176 campsites that provide picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, electric and water hookups and plenty of shade. Some sites also provide sewer hookups for RV campers. There are accessible sites and restrooms.Anglers can take advantage of an accessible fishing dock, boat ramp and fish cleaning station at the day use area just across the waterway from the campground. The day use facility also provides a swim beach, playground and picnic shelters.
